About Driveway Desk
Who builds Driveway Desk
We are the Driveway Desk team. We build tools around the office work of owner-operators and home-service crews of one to five: writing a clear quote, planning the visit and keeping the invoice with the job. The product starts with a simple question: what paperwork can you finish while the work is still fresh?
Why the small crew comes first
A person doing the repair is often the same person answering the phone and writing the estimate. That is the working day we design for. A useful document needs the scope, the customer details and the assumptions behind the calculation. It should be readable on a phone and easy to check before you share it. We focus on that job rather than claiming that a tool can make the judgment for you.
How we check the free tools
Our calculators show their inputs, formulas and assumptions. Example rates are editable starting points, not claims about what every contractor charges. Templates provide a structure you can adapt to the job. You remain responsible for the scope, quantities, tax treatment and terms you agree with a customer. A generated document is not a site inspection or professional advice.
Sources, updates and corrections
We link provider sources for comparison claims and record the date checked on those pages. We review sources when changing a comparison and when a reader reports a problem. We do not promise a fixed review interval. Before buying, confirm current terms with the provider. To report a correction, send the page address, the statement and a source we can check. We update the content date when the material changes.
